Fields of study

Comment/Description

This seminars focuses on the ethical and moral dimensions of engineering and science. After an extensive introduction, the students will be able to choose themselves, which case example they want to present in their talk. Every presentation will be followed by a plenum discussion. Besides those case examples the principals of code of conducts, their implementation at the Technische Universität Hamburg and historical examples will be studied. Didactic role games will help to experience oneself the complexity of the raised issues. Presence as well as regular and active participation is required at all stages.

The course is part of admission "[BACHELOR] Anmeldeset WiSe 19/20 (NTA)".

  • A defined number of seats will be assigned to these courses.
