Kommentar/Beschreibung

In this seminar, students work in groups on practically relevant topics in the area of Numerical and Scientific Computing, mathematical software and applications.

The topics include:

* linear and nonlinear equations
* ordinary differential equations
* partial differential equations
* eigenvalues and singular values
* Fourier analysis
* reliable computing

The date for the preliminary discussion (Vorbesprechung) will be announced after 30-th september.

The literature list is given at the preliminary discussion.

Papers and material is in English. Speakers may freely decide whether they give their presentation in English or German.
