Kommentar/Beschreibung

Sustainable Mobility of Goods, Logistics, Traffic (VL):

The aim of the lecture is to provide a general, system-based overview of the development of transport and its implications, as well as a sustainable design of transport chains. The advantages and disadvantages of various international freight transport chains are explained from a micro- and macroeconomic perspective. The effects on the transport system, as well as the ecological and social consequences of the spatial distribution of economic activities, are discussed.

The overview of current international transport chains is carried out on the basis of specific material and information flows. Existing transport chains and their individual elements are made transparent to students by means of a series of practical examples.

  • A conceptual system model
  • Elements of integrated and multi-modal transport chains
  • Relationships between transport and traffic, supply and demand at different levels of the transport system
  • Global issues in supply chain management
  • Global players and networks
  • Logistics and corporate social responsibility (CSR)
  • Methods and data for evaluating international transport chains
  • Influence of cultural aspects on the design of international supply chains
  • Sustainable and innovative solutions with different perspectives on transport and logistics systems

International logistics and transport systems (PBL):

The PBL course covers case studies and complex problems related to the systemic characteristics of the various modes of transport and the organisation and realisation of transport chains. Students become familiar with specific problems in logistics and freight transport and develop solutions.

Die Auswahl der Teilnehmenden wird nach der Eintragung manuell vorgenommen.

Die Veranstaltung ist teilnehmerbeschränkt. Wir werden erst zu Semesterbeginn am 08.04.2025 Studierende verbindlich zulassen.
